The Foster Foundation is at the forefront of orthopaedic trauma care, combining evidence-based practice with cutting-edge research. The Foothills Medical Centre Orthopaedic Trauma Service is comprised of 7 orthopaedic surgeons who are leaders in trauma education, research, innovation, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

In 2024 they approached as a new foundation to help them with logo creation, branding and grant documents. They had 3 logos they needed, one for the Foster Foundation, one for the Orthopaedic Trauma Service and one for the Canadian Orthopaedic Trauma Society. They really wanted to use the Tree of Andry (a symbol associated with orthopaedics. Many orthopaedic organizations use the symbol - so the challenge was to find a new solution that would work well as a logo using the familiar visual. They wanted all 3 logos to have a family feel, but to be different. This was my solution.
